Press Release: Non-Emergency Medicaid Transportation
Stagecoach Named Non-Emergency Medicaid Transportation Provider for Northern Windsor County
As of October 1st, 2014, Stagecoach Transportation Services will become the provider of non-emergency Medicaid transportation for residents of the towns of Barnard, Bethel, Bridgewater, Hartford, Hartland, Norwich, Pomfret, Rochester, Royalton, Sharon, Stockbridge, Hartford, and Woodstock.
Stagecoach currently provides Dial-a-Ride transportation services in these towns for senior citizens and persons with disabilities who are unable to self-transport, and is looking forward to this opportunity to expand its services to residents within these communities.
Many of these rides are provided by volunteer drivers using their own cars. If you would like to join the Stagecoach team of volunteer drivers in promoting access to healthcare services for people without their own transportation, please contact Kelly Wheatley, Program Manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 802-728-3773. Stagecoach volunteers give their time but are reimbursed for mileage expenses.
Since 1976, Stagecoach Transportation Services, Inc. STSI’s mission is to enhance transportation choices that promote economic development, energy conservation, mobility independence and quality of life.
