Newbury Park & Ride; River Route Changes
Newbury Announcing Park and Ride / Stagecoach Announcing Schedules Changes on the River Route
In response to the need for increased public parking in town, the Newbury Town Office announces the opening of a new Park-and-Ride along the Newbury Crossing Road.
Recently, with grant monies from the Vermont Agency of Transportation, a Park-and-Ride has been developed on 1.9 acres of state-owned property along the Newbury Crossing Road. The goal is to encourage carpooling and the use of public transit.
Stagecoach Transportation Services, Inc. which provides safe and accessible transportation services to promote economic development, energy conservation, mobility independence, and quality of life announces the following schedule changes on the River Route:
- River Route, 2nd AM Trip: All pickups will depart 5 minutes earlier. This adjustment will allow the bus to connect with the Advance Transit transfer on Main Street in Hanover.
- River Route, 3rd AM Trip: Wells River Savings Bank and Newbury Village Store will depart 5 minutes earlier to allow time for a stop at the Newbury Park & Ride. All stops after the Park & Ride will stay the same.
- River Route, ALL PM Trips: All pm trips will stop at the Park & Ride, drop only. Buses will arrive 5 minutes later to the Newbury General Store and the Wells River Savings Bank.
